Ear tubes
Today Benson got his tubes in his ears. It was a long time coming and we are glad to have it over with and move on with a healthier little boy. It was a fairly simple procedure and everything went fine. of course Benson knew exactly what was coming his way when we walked into the doctor's office and he didn't stop crying after that :) Poor kid. The hardest was handing him off to the nurse when she took him to give him his anesthesia. I can only imagine the fight he put up when they were putting the mask on him to have him go to sleep! But it all went fairly quick, and within 15 minutes it was done and we went to see him in the recovery room. He was SO cranky waking up!! I held him for a little while and then Andrew took him. I tried to put his clothes back on and that made him really mad. Andrew got the brunt of his anger when he smacked him across the face making his gums bleed :) haha, poor Andrew now. But what can you do, the kid just got handled! Anyways, we are back home now and Benson is getting back to his old self. Here are the pictures. First, when he is on his way to the surgery clinic still smiling. But then.... he figured out what was going on.... not so happy anymore! And the he was just plain mad.
