Thanksgiving 2012
Since this was pretty much the year to spend the bulk of the holidays with my family, we had thanksgiving at my family's houses. We started off with the photo shoot the night before, and then we slept at Oma's house. I helped mom prepare all the food while Andrew watched the kids and basketball and football games. Oh, and Opa helped too of course :) Here they are shelling my eggs for deviled eggs (mom was not pleased with how hard they were too shell haha :)
At about 1 pm we headed over to my sisters place to hang out and prepare for the dinner at 4. Mom was of course on 'make everything look pretty' duty, which she did :)
The Hosts
Sander, our wonderful turkey baker
Appetizers
Mommy's little turkey indeed!
Andrew was pretty tired, he had been traveling a ton and this must have been his first day off in a while. We enjoyed doing 'nothing'
Cousin play time and dress up time
putting the finishing touches on dinner
This is right after dinner. The boys picked up my dad to give him a spin, it was funny. Too bad I missed the spin in action picture :)
after dinner we were all relaxing upstairs while the kids played downstairs. All of sudden 3 little boys came charging in with nothing on but their underwear.... oh little boys will be boys! They thought it was hilarious. So we humored them with a few pictures before sending them back on with orders to get dressed again :)
And that was our fun filled thanksgiving. SO much to be grateful for!
