Sunday September 23
This was a special Sunday. The Brigham City Temple was dedicated and we were able to attend. We arrived in time to our local stake center, only to find out that the satelilte equipment wasn't working! So in Mormon fashion half the congregation 'sped' over to another stake center down the street (gotta love living in Salt Lake City, UT) just in time before the doors closed. It was a lovely, uplifting dedication which we thoroughly enjoyed. Some ward members were kind enough to watch our kids for us so we could attend. Thank you! We had a nice relaxing Sabbath the rest of the day. We enjoyed watching Ella enjoy and unpack all of her birthdat gifts. She was so excited to get all dolled up as a princess with all her new princess gear from Aunt Lindsy. Andrew was a good sport and helped Ella put on her fancy jewelry :)

Watch out world.... we have already decided she won't day until she is 40 :)
What more Sunday fun is there than a round of candyland??

In the afternoon, since the kids didn't go to church because of the temple dedication, we thought it would be nice to go on a nature walk and admire God's creations. So we headed packed up a lunch and headed to the international peace gardens in Salt Lake. It was nice weather, and it was very fun except for 2 mishaps. 1. Somewhere along the way in the park, we lost our lunch bag with ALL our dinner. It must have fallen out of the stroller at some point. Bummer. Oh well. At least it wasn't a purse or wallett. I hope some poor hungry soul found it and was fed! 2. The kids thought it was  to explore a little wading pond filled with some rain water. and yes, you can guess what followed next:

Kind of comical. So they walked around wet and hungry. Some parents are we!! haha.Well, to prove we did also enjoy ourselves here are the rest of the pictures:
