Halloween
As promised, here are the remainder of our Halloween festivities. The kids had a lot of fun and really enjoyed learning about all the new fun events surrounding fall. On Saturday, we went up to the discovery gateway museum in Salt Lake where they had lots of fun events for the kids. They dressed up in their costumes and played some fun games. Dad was able to join us for the second half of it. So, here are Mr. Incredible and Mrs. Cow:
Then finally Monday came and we spent the day with family and fun. I drove down to Orem earlier in the day since Andrew wasn't getting off work until later. We spent a lovely afternoon with Aunt Vicki. The weather was gorgeous and we decided to take advantage of it and eat some lunch in Provo Canyon, which is beautiful this time of year. The kids played and we went on a walk in the crunchy fall leaves.
Then, we all gathered at Aunt Vicki's house for dinner. Here Benson and Ella eating some dinner
Our cute nephew baby Liam!
Uncle Steve and Benson and our uncle Jerry, and yes, that beard is real!
Then came the time to take the kids out for trick-or-treating. They caught on pretty fast. We just had to teach Benson some proper etiquette. Whenever someone would open the door he saw it as an open invitation to run into their house on an exploring adventure of every nook and cranny! It was funny. We even went back down to our old nighbourhood to see some of our friends again, which was a lot of fun. Grandpa went with us too.
Ella was pretty tired so Andrew ended up carrying her for the majority of the night
At about 8:30 pm the kids were all done, and so were we :) We were all pretty tired so we put on their pajamas and headed back home to Salt Lake. Of course fell sound asleep in their seats having sweet dreams about all their candy!
Ella was so exhausted that she didn't wake up until 9 am this morning! We, as all good parents would, of course sorted their candy for them to salvage their teeth and sugar levels, and will distribute a little each day as to prevent an acute onset of sugar coma! And of crouse we don't mind a few pieces of candy... haha But we had a great time and thanks to all of Andrew's family for letting us join all their fun. On to next year! And, may I just add, that this morning we woke up and November gave us a 'cold' welcome? Yes, I mean snow!! Luckily I have been a little better prepared this year and bought their winter coats before the first sign of snow this time :)
