Vegas Vacation Andrew & I have been wanting to go on a little outing for a while now, so we decided to seize the moment and go on a weekend getaway to Vegas with my brother Mike and his wife Kate. It was very refreshing to have a little break without the children, thanks to our aunt Vicki who lovingly watched the kids for us. We stayed in the Orleans Hotel and did lots of fun stuff together, including:Eating at the Cheesecake factory (unfortunately we were too full to have cheesecake after dinner), walked around Ceasars Palace, go Bowling (Andrew is pointing at the screen for 2 reasons: He bowled 2 really good games and Michael dubbed him 'Andrewlicious' as his bowling name :)

The next morning we got up early (about 8 am... can't get too early on vacation) and went to the Las Vegas temple to do some sealings for mine and Mike's Dutch family. It was a very sweet experience.

Afterwards we went back to the hotel, changed, and the boys went golfing. They found a super cheap golf course that was even cheaper in the heat of day after 1 pm. So they sweated it out, but had a lot of fun. Meanwhile Kate and I got our shop on at the outlets:

In the evening we went out to dinner in the MGM hotel at 'Wolfgang Puck's' restaurant. We had booked a show for 9:30 in the MGM called "Ka", a performance by Cirque du Soleil. It was magnificent, as expected. Definitely recommend seeing it if you need some ideas for good shows in Vegas:

When the show got out it was 11 pm, and to avoid the crowd at the Valet parking, we walked to the Bellagio to watch the water fountain show. As you can imagine, the strip at that time of night was... how should I say it, buzzing with lots of different kind of people! I held on to Andrew's hand tightly. Probably won't ever walk the strip that late at night again, but the fountain show was pretty.

Here is Andrew trying out our new panoramic feature on our camera:

The next morning we really slept in and had a lazy, relaxing morning before heading back home. Andrew and I hit up the pool and the hot tub for a little while and we were set to go. It was a very nice time away and we enjoyed being together. But of course we are always happy to see our sweet babies again!
