A few other happening in the beginning of October
Karsten got his first two bottom teeth! If you enlarge this photo (click on it) you can kinda see them starting to come in. He has probably been my most fussy teether. Not so much screaming or runny nose, just a lot of whining and yelling! Poor kid. But I think he is over the worst now that they have come in. Once the teeth started coming he figured out how to put everything in his mouth! We call him our human vacuum, because when I put him on a floor that I haven't vacuumed or swept, he makes sure that job gets done for me!

My mom was nice enough to babysit for us one night so Andrew and I could go on a date. It had been a while since we went out on a night on the town, and it was wonderful. SLCC put on the play "into the woods". It was very cute, though some of the moral implications behind the play were questionable.  Still, it was fun and we were glad to have some alone time.

Benson's preschool asked for some fall leaves or items to do a show and tell, so for FHE we went to the Jordan River Parkway to collect. The kids brought their halloween pumpkins to gather their treasures in. The trail was rather disappointing since it did not produce many fall type items, but still the kids and we had a great time.
Then grandma and grandpa May drove up one night and while grandpa attended a game with Andrew, grandma took me and the kids out to get some fun halloween decorations. Here in this picture grandma is letting Benson climb on the pumpkin pile at Smith's to pick out his favorite pumpkin!
I took the kids to an early season basketball scrimmage that SLCC hosted to watch the Bruins in action for the first time this season. The kids love running in the bleechers and it was fun to see Andrew back at work doing what he loves.
