We enrolled Benson in a city soccer league this spring for the first time. He is still a tad young (4), but they were offering leagues for his age, so we decided to give it a go. And he loves it! I am so glad. He looks so cute out there with his litte team 'the monsters'.
His first game was last Saturday and it was a hoot. All the little kids really had no clue what they were doing and all happily ran after the ball until told to stop by the coaches. Benson did score the first goal of the game, though he first carried the call halfway down the field before he decided his opponents were far enough behind him to score the goal! It was hilarious. Some kids were shy or didn't want to play, but Benson was just jolly and happy to be there. It was really cute.
