Today is a very happy day, Karsten was due to be born today! Instead, our little boy was given to us as an early birthday present! We are very glad for this milestone and that Karsten is continuing to grow and get healthier. I can't believe he is almost 4 weeks old already! The doctor is very happy with his growth and weight gain. He was able to go off oxygen a few days ago which is very happy news! Hopefully all his monitors can come off by the end of the week. No more Oxygen!!
We have pretty much been hanging out at home since he was born so he could have time to grow and be protected from outside germs. Many friends and family members have helped with providing meals and watching the other 2 kiddos for me so I could get some rest too and focus on tending to Karsten.We have had lots of fun visitors keep us company as well who have finally been able to hold and snuggle him.
We have had plenty of time to snuggle and enjoy our new little one as well. Benson and Ella love their new baby brother and are actually really good with him.
Benson and Ella have adjusted pretty well to having a new addition and also less attention from mom and dad. We have tried to make efforts to spend one on one time with them, and they have also been showered with love by all their other family.
His first outing going to the Doctor! It was quite the ordeal getting him out the door with all his chords.
