The Birthday Girl

Someone is no longer my baby.... Ella turned 2! Where did the time go? It feels like yesterday that she looked like this... pardon my nostalgia, this is one special little girl!

 

 

 

 

We are so grateful for what a happy and healthy little girl she is today. She is our little angel and we are so glad to have her as a spunky, girly, emotional, fun & loving 2 year old now! It seemed that the day she turned 2 she decided to find her agency, her voice and her emotions all at the same time! Yes people, we have a true GIRL on our hands :) The tantrums are loud and dramatic, but the tears and hugs and smiles melt your heart. She is such a ball of fun. We had a little birthday party for her here at the house. We are grateful to everyone who came to celebrate her special day. My mom and I worked hard to make her this custom-made lady-bug birthday cake for our 'ella-bug'. We thought it turned out super cute!

Then, on to the presents. I have decided that for the first 3 birthdays of life, all presents should be combined into one big present to be opened. She got so excited about some of the things she opened that she didn't want to move on without some major tears and tantrum :) It was very cute though, and she has since played with all the fun things she has gotten.

 

 Here is the ring that rules them all.... she was not happy when we took it from her to have her eat her birthday cake!

 

 

My mom painted Benson's old toddler bed so Ella can sleep in it now. She wasn't too thrilled about it at first, but she slept in it for the first time last night and did great! Doesn't she look cute in it?

 

So there you have it. My little girl. Or not so little anymore I guess :) On to another great year!
